It's been too long since I've posted pictures from our Friday morning sit & stitch! I hope to remedy that now! Above, Kathy is holding one of her AMAZING appliqued interpritations of her family's little houses on their northern Maine island. Slowly, but surely, she is drafting and building all of them in fabric. My picture is not the greatest, but if you click on the picture to enlarge it, you will notice that she is holding an actual photo of the cabin above and to the left of her appliqued block. It is really stunning in person.
Next, we have Barb F. and THREE fabulous finishes to share with us! She has been very busy cranking out the sweet projects for her family members.
Next, Ellen has only a foot or so of binding to finish stitching down on this hexagon beauty.
Now, back to Kathy. Many of us are working on our quilt tops filled with our liberated ladies from our recent group swap. Here are two views of Kathy's top in progress. The first is taken with the light behind to show off her excellent piecing (looks like stained glass - I LOVE that effect!) and the second which better shows the actual top. Ellen is nearly finished with hers, and I am working on mine, so we should have lots more liberated fun to share very soon.
Until the next time, happy stitching!
Teresa :o)
Thanks for posting, Teresa. Just a note... those Maine Houses are all PIECED, not appliqued (except where I may have made a boo-boo, or just didn't like something after getting it all together. - Kathy.
